Molly, an avid Rants and Raves reader (I may have made that up - she may not be avid, but she checks in now and then when she's not busy running one of the best pet sitting businesses in the Bay Area), exhorts me to write about the weird (that's the best word to describe it) segment on the O' Reilly Factor about Lesbian Gangs. According to the 'expert' on his show there are lesbian gangs across the country (many of them seem to be in the DC area, and I think this is the problem with having too many congressional aides and interns running around who may have been hit on by Newt Gingrich). Apparently, these crazy lesbos use pink 9mm Glocks to commit crimes and force 10 year olds to have sex with them. I can't actually find any report of a crime committed with a pink gun, but men do need their fantasies.
Rod Wheeler, the lesbian gang supersleuth, who was wearing a doozy of a pink tie and pink 'kerchief on the O'Reilly show, just posted an 'apology' on his home page:
During the O’Reilly Factor segment on June 21st, while engaged in a discussion on Lesbian gangs, I inadvertently stated that gang members carry pistols that are painted pink and call themselves the "Pink Pistol Packing Group." I was not referring to the gay rights group "Pink Pistols" who advocates for the lawful rights of gays to carry weapons for protection. Further, I mentioned that there are "over 150 of these gangs" in the greater Washington DC area. What I actually meant is that there are over 150 gangs in the Washington DC area, some of which are in fact lesbian gangs. Lastly, I mentioned in the segment that there is this "national epidemic" of lesbian gangs. A better choice of words would have been to say that there is a growing concern nationally, and especially in major urban areas, of increased gang activity, which includes some lesbian gang activity.
I apologize for any misunderstanding this may have caused.
But the most telling comment came from Bill 'Hater' O' Reilly, when, on camera, he expresses amazement at the idea of lesbian or gay gangs at all, saying "one associates homosexuality with a social movement, not a criminal movement."
And that, as they say, is that. Yes sireee, one associates gays and lesbians with social change, not criminal activity. End of stupid, dimfuckingwitted story.
Jill, I'm shocked that the idiot Rod Wheeler had the word "inadvertently" in his vocabularly. Someone must have looked it up for him before he released his statement.

I'm glad it didn't take long for those idiots to back down from their paranoid fantasy life--those scenarios should be kept in the bedroom between consenting adults, not broadcast as "news."

PS: I most certainly am an avid reader!
